One in the mirror—
You are enough.
But when you believe you're not?
That's pride.
Yup.
Not all pride shouts in mirrors or takes selfies with gold filters.
Sometimes it shrinks.
Sometimes it whispers,
“I’m not good enough.”
“I don’t measure up.”
“I’m just... not worthy.”
That’s not humility.
That’s ego in disguise.
That’s pride doing what pride does best—
Making you the center.
You’ve mistaken your insecurity for reverence.
But there’s nothing holy about hating what God handcrafted.
There’s no glory in self-rejection.
Just shadows, just silence, just chains.
You were carved by the hands of Glory.
You are fearfully and wonderfully made.
Stamped with His image.
Named before the world named you.
So don’t call it modesty when you hide.
Don’t call it humility when you run from the light.
Call it what it is—
Pride in reverse.
Lay it down.
You are not enough
because of your academics,
your looks,
your praise,
or your titles.
Not because you make heads turn,
or your GPA holds a halo,
or your name echoes in rooms
you haven’t even walked into yet.
You are not enough
because you’ve earned it.
You are enough
because He said so.
Because before you even learned to speak,
the Word spoke worth over your breath.
Before you ever opened a textbook,
He opened His hand and wrote purpose in your bones.
Before a single follower followed,
He chose you.
So please rise.
Straighten your spine and drop the false humility.
Not in arrogance,
but in alignment.
You are enough—
Not because of who you are,
but because of who He is in you.
And that,
is the most honest kind of pride—
the kind that kneels low, and still walks tall.
